Description
4/20/26 - This is a nice example of an Artillery Luger issued to the Imperial German military in 1917. All numbered parts are matching (rear toggle pin is un-numbered) with the proper Imperial proofs. There is a crudely-applied number on the front strap. This one comes as a rig with an original matching-numbered and Imperial-proofed stock, an un-numbered magazine, a 1915-dated tan leather holster (the small leather loop for the closure strap is missing on the top flap, cleaning rod, a portion of the leather harness, and a custom thin leather strap holding the stock to the holster. The gun itself has retained about 90% of its finish with wear on the side plate, around the muzzle, and on the side rails. There are areas of light pitting, mostly on the side plate and on the right side rail and right side of the slide. Some freckling on the grip straps. Fitted with very nice matching-numbered wood grips (the stamps are faint). The bore shows light pin-pricking throughout. The hold-open does not work properly with this magazine.
