Description
11/4/25 - This is a DWM Artillery Luger from 1917. The DWM LP.08 "Artillery" Luger was developed during World War I by Deutsche Waffen und Munitionsfabriken (DWM) to meet the German military’s need for a pistol capable of greater range and accuracy. Introduced in 1914, the LP.08 features a long 8-inch barrel, a finely adjustable rear sight (graduated to 800 meters), and a detachable shoulder stock, effectively turning it into a carbine-like sidearm. It was primarily issued to artillery crews, aviators, and stormtrooper units who needed a compact yet powerful weapon. Though production ended after the war, the LP.08 remains one of the most iconic and distinctive Luger variants, prized today for its craftsmanship and unique role in early 20th-century military history. The gun is all matching with the proper Imperial German military proofs throughout. The gun has been completely re-blued with no signs of finish loss. Fitted with excellent matching-numbered wood grips. Comes with a un-numbered wood bottom magazine - hairline crack in the base. The bore has great rifling with just very light pin-pricking throughout.
