Description
10/5/26 - This is a very nice example of a DWM Luger issued to the Imperial German military in 1917. The gun is all matching and carries the proper Imperial German military acceptance proofs on the right side of the receiver. It comes as a rig with one mismatched military magazine, one un-numbered magazine, and a 1917-dated holster maker-marked "F. GROSSE DRESDEN-N." - the closure strap has been replaced, and there is a noticeable cross scratched into the front of the holster. The finish rates about 90%, with most of the wear on the side plate and the left side of the barrel, plus general high edge and muzzle wear. While there isn't much actual finish loss, there are areas of noticeable spotty oxidation, mostly on the left side of the gun. Fitted with excellent matching-numbered grips - there is some noticeable surface rust under the grip panels. The bore has decent rifling, but there is light pitting throughout. A complete WWI DWM rig with its period holster.
