Description
4/28/26 - This is a nice example of a shooter-grade Colt Model 1911. The frame was manufactured and issued to the US military in 1918. The slide is an early variation, manufactured in 1913. The original "Model of 1911 US Army" marking on the right side of the slide has been ground off. "United States Property" marking on the left side of the frame with the proper "Eagle Head S12" marking. The majority of the small parts have been replaced, and the gun is fitted with WW2-era reddish plastic grips. Comes with a modern Mecgar magazine. The whole gun has been refinished, and the slide and frame have a two-tone finish. The slide shows minor high edge and muzzle wear with some light surface scratching on the left side of the slide. Mint bore.
