Description
11/3/25 - This is a Colt Model 1911 issued to the US military in 1918. After the war, it was re-worked and refinished at the Raritan Arsenal. It has a later commercial replacement barrel. The gun comes with its original Raritan Arsenal "craft box" and Railway Express Agency shipping box with the Raritan Arsenal shipping label. The slide has a dark blackish finish, and the frame is a bit more gray-colored. There is very little actual finish loss, but there are some light scratches and scuffs here and there and some areas of pin-pricking under the finish. It is fitted with period-correct wood grips and comes with a scarce Springfield Armory magazine with the folded-over metal base and brass reinforcement at the top of the spine. Mint bore.
