Description
6/15/26 - This is a nice example of a Colt Model 1911 issued to the US Army in 1918. It has all the correct markings and has the proper "HP" Colt barrel. It come as a rig with a period-correct 1917-dated tan leather holster (some honest surface scuffing throughout), a period-correct canvas belt, 1918-dated magazine pouch, and three total magazines (two have a two-tone finish, the other has lost its finish). The gun itself has lost the majority of its original finish with spotty brown patina covering the gun. There are some areas of spotty oxidation, most noticeable on the grip straps and on the right side of the slide. Fitted with nice period-correct wood grips - minor wear on both sides. The bore has strong rifling with just light frosting throughout.
