Description
11/25/25 - This is a nice example of a Colt Model 1911 issued to the US Army in 1918. It is all correct except the barrel which is too early for the gun. It is actually a more scarce separated "H P" Colt barrel. The gun has retained roughly 80-85% of its original finish with general high edge wear, muzzle wear, thinning and light brown patina on the grip straps, and spotty discoloration along the left side of the gun. Fitted with nice period-correct wood grips and comes with a replacement magazine. The bore has good rifling, but there is some frosting in the grooves.
