Description
7/8/26 - This is a very nice example of a Colt Model 1911 issued to the US Army in 1918. It has all the correct markings and an "H P" Colt barrel. The serial number on this gun is right on the border of being correct for this barrel. But if anything, the barrel it currently has is earlier and rarer. The gun has retained somewhere between 85-90% of its original finish. There is general high edge wear, muzzle wear, and thinning on the grip straps. While there isn't a ton of actual finish loss, there is brown patina covering much of the gun. There is a series of small dings on the front strap. Fitted with nice period-correct wood grips and comes with a proper two-tone magazine. Excellent bore with strong rifling.
