Description
8/18/26 - This is a Colt Model 1911 issued to the US Army in 1918. It has all the correct markings with an "Eagle Head S16" military acceptance proof. It has a mismatch Springfield-marked barrel. The gun has been completely refinished. While there is very little actual finish loss, there is an area of discoloration in the right side serrations with light scratches and marks throughout. Fitted with period-correct wood grips and comes with a WW2-era "R" marked magazine (the number "18" is written in black marker on the bottom). The bore has good rifling, but there is noticeable pin-pricking throughout.
