Description
8/18/26 - This is a Colt Model 1911 issued to the US Army in 1919. It has all the correct markings with a faint "Eagle Head" military acceptance proof. It has a mismatch WW2-era "HS"-marked High Standard barrel. We believe this gun has a worn old re-blued finish. There is obvious wear throughout, with noticeable spotty wear on the slide and finish loss on the grip straps. There is some scratchy wear on the right side of the slide, light brown patina on the front strap, and a few spots of oxidation on the left side of the slide. Fitted with period-correct wood grips and comes with a more modern commercial magazine (the number "19" is written in black marker on the bottom). Excellent bore with strong rifling.
