Description
3/3/22 - This is a gorgeous example of a rare Italian Beretta Olimpionica Model 949 target pistol manufactured in 1953. The gun is matching and has the proper Italian proofs on the tang. The entire gun (including the counterweight on the front and all of the screws) features a stunning floral engraving pattern, done by Waffen Bock of Frankfurt, Germany (labeled on the underside of the frame). There are no German proofs. It's certainly possible the engraving was commissioned by Beretta. In any case, the gun is gorgeous, with almost no signs of wear. The screws on the right side of the counterweight show a little bit of wear from use, and there are a couple of tiny dots of wear on the front strap. Comes with beautifully hand-checkered walnut grips with just a few tiny bruises here and there. Also comes with one proper bakelite-bottom magazine. The bore is mint.Specifications
