Description
3/3/22 - This is an excellent example of an Ortgies pistol sold in the commercial market in the 1920's. The gun is all matching and has the proper "Crown N" proofs. "Germany" export marking on the underside of the frame. It comes as a rig with an excellent brown leather holster and two period-correct factory-nickeled magazines. The holster has a faint Nazi eagle ink stamp on the inside and a stamp that appears to read "H. Za. Mg.". The interesting thing about the rig is that the pistol fits perfectly and even has wear marks on the back from the profile of this gun. We suppose its possible this rig was re-issued to the Nazi-era German police force with this particular pistol - we can't say for sure. In any case, the gun has retained about 95% of its original finish. There is minor wear on the high edges of the slide and around the muzzle. A few small handling marks and tiny freckles on the front strap. Comes with excellent period-correct Ortgies wood grips. Mint bore.Specifications
