SOLD - Rare 1935/06 Mauser Banner Portuguese "GNR" Luger

11/3/25 - This is a rare 1935/06 Mauser Banner Portuguese "Guarda Nacional Republicana" (Republic National Guard) luger rig. With a 120mm (4 3/4") Barrel chambered for the 7.65mm. All parts are matching and correct. Crown/U proofed. Lower safety position is marked "Seguranca". These lugers were unheard of in the collector market with only 564 produced, until many years ago when a large group was purchased from the Government of Portugal and imported into the United States. This is a well documented series of exactly 564 guns from 1921v through 2484v. These were made specifically for the Portuguese "Republican National Guard" - consequently, the top of the chamber area is marked "GNR" for Guarde, Nationale Republicanie. This one has retained about 92% of its original finish with general high edge wear, muzzle wear, and some areas of light freckling concentrated mostly on the side plate, on the front strap, and around the muzzle. Fitted with minty wood grips and comes with an un-numbered aluminum base magazine (the magazine is a bit of a tight fit). The bore shows good rifling.
