Description
3/25/26 - This is a very nice example of a G Date Mauser Luger from 1935. The Army Acceptance Stamps are W154 & S92 while The Army Test Proof Stamp is the “early Droop Eagle” which Third Reich Lugers designates this Luger as “Sub-variation 1” or an early G Date Luger. All of the stamps are deeply struck as a lot of the “G” Dates had shallow stamps that you can hardly see. The grip panels are unnumbered (which is correct as most weren’t on the early ones) and are crack-free with a few flat spots on the checkering (mostly on the right side). Comes with a mismatched "B90" proofed nickel colored magazine. The correct magazine proof for this gun would be "W154". The hold open on the gun works fine with this mag. The rust blue finish rates about 90% with general high edge wear, muzzle wear, and areas of pin-pricking on the side plate, front strap, and around the muzzle. The grip straps show light brown patina. The original straw colored parts show wear on the trigger and take down lever while the remaining parts show excellent straw color with most of the wear on the trigger. The bore has good rifling, but there is noticeable pin-pricking throughout.
