SOLD - 1936 Nazi Mauser Luger (6043k - 12951)

Description

9/29/20 - This is a very nice example of a Mauser Luger P.08 issued to the Nazi military in 1936. It has an "S/42" Mauser factory code on the toggle and the proper "Eagle 63" Nazi military acceptance proofs on the right side of the slide. The gun is all matching and has retained about 93-95% of its original finish. It is a little difficult to rate, given the nature of the straps. There is very minor thinning, but it appears there is not much actual finish. Rather, there is some brown patina showing through. There are small spots of wear at the base of both straps, wear on the side plate, minor muzzle wear, and very minor high edge wear on the frame and slide. There are a few very small areas of minor freckling. Excellent un-numbered period-correct grips. It comes with a proper "Eagle 63" magazine that is not numbered to the gun. The bore is minty.
