Description

4/15/26- For sale is a nice 1937 dated K98 bayonet made by Jos. Corts. The blade is nicely blued with some very light scabbard wear around the tip of the blade. The blade edge has some grinding that is not a smooth grind but rather looks like many small semi-circular grinds, maybe from a small grinder or narrow sharpening wheel. The grind still has bluing on it so it may be an original factory grind or an arsenal repair. The blade is serialized 4523e, the other side has the manufacturer mark from "Jos. Corts.", and the blade spine has a 37 date. The wooden handle is completely intact with no damage. The scabbard is nicely blued with no damage or dents. The leather frog is aged and a bit stiff but fully intact. There appears to be a manufacturer stamp on the back of the frog faintly dated "1940".
