Description
1/15/26 - This is a very nice example of a "27" Code K98 rifle manufactured by Feinmechanische Werke GmbH Erfurt (Erma) in 1939 and issued to the Nazi military. All numbered parts are matching (except for the bolt release which is not numbered) with the proper German Army test proofs and "Eagle 280" military acceptance proofs. The stock is externally numbered (matching) and has the proper waffen proofs on the underside and right side of the butt stock. The metal parts have retained about 90% of their finish. The majority of the actual wear is on the rear barrel band, but there is also general high edge wear, muzzle wear, and some light brown patina here and there. The wood furniture is in excellent condition overall, but it has been lightly sanded - the markings are all still clear and legible. Comes with a period-correct leather sling and cleaning rod. Mint bore.
