Description
2/25/26 - This is Mauser P.08 Luger was issued to the Nazi military in 1939, just after they changed from the 'S/42' assembly code to the '42' assembly code (change was made during the p to q serial range). This Luger is all-matching, including both wood grip panels. Comes with a numbered, mismatched magazine. Featuring the correct 'Eagle/63' military acceptance stamps, the slide has a very nice plum-colored finish. This P.08 has retained about 85-90% of its original finish. There is a small area of discoloration on the back of the toggle, just in front of the rear sight, as well as some discoloration on the top and bottom of the back strap. There is significant muzzle wear and high-edge wear, mostly on the butt of the gun, the side plate, and the front of the slide rails. There are some signs of pitting on the bottom of the side plate, and a few pin pricks on the right side of the frame above the trigger guard. The rest of the finish shows signs of thinning. The original, serialized wood grips show no signs of cracks or chips. The bore has crisp rifling, but minor frost throughout.
