Description
7/23/26 - For sale is a 1939 Kriegsmarine flare pistol manufactured by Walther. This flare pistol is in great shape mechanically and functions as intended. The barrel spring is tight and sturdy with no play. The finish on this Walther is in good shape overall. There is some high-edge wear present on the pistol, while most loss exists on the left side. The barrel has some surface scratches present as well, and some light muzzle wear, which again is primarily on the left side of the pistol. The frame and body of the flare gun has some handling and surface blemishes. On the right side of the frame, there is a spot of finish loss just above the grip panel, and the left side has two scratches (one below the hammer and one behind the body) which do penetrate the surface finish, but don't show any signs of oxidation. The trigger guard, trigger, and barrel release lever show some pinpricking and light oxidation. This Walther bears Imperial proofs on the right side of the frame and barrel, presenting both the Crown/U and Crown/B. There are also a plethora of E/359 Walther military inspection proofs on many pieces of the firearm including the frame, trigger, trigger guard, hammer, grip screw, and more. This pistol is serialized and all-matching (6094e). The bore is clear of obstructions and shows no signs of pitting and very light patina.
