Description
6/26/26 - This is a nice example of a Walther PP sold in the commercial market in 1940. It is all matching with the proper "Eagle N" commercial proofs. There is a lanyard ring added post-war (likely by the French police) and what looks like a French proof on the right side of the frame. The finish rates about 90%. We believe the slide is an old re-blue, and there appears to be some cold blue touch-up on the grip straps. There is general high edge wear, a series of small dings and scratches on the left side of the slide, and an area of obvious finish loss and tiny pitting on the back strap. Fitted with period-correct black grips and comes with a Walther banner only magazine (there is electro-pencil numbering on the spine that does not match the gun). Very nice bore with great rifling.
