Description
7/9/26 - This is a good example of a 1940 Luger holster manufactured by R. Ehrhardt. The leather on this holster is sturdy, yet pliable with no signs of any rips or tears. The lid of the holster shows some finish wear and a crack on the left side of the lid, though it does not penetrate the leather. The front of the holster shows minimal wear, but does have a few surface scuffs halfway down and towards the muzzle. These do not seem to penetrate the leather. The back of the holster bears the maker's mark "R. Ehrhardt - Poessneck" above the belt loop, beside a WaA29 and "1940". On the underside of the lid, "646" is written between the front strap stitching and the Luger tool pouch. The stitching on this holster is in great shape with no signs of any pulling or tearing. The right belt loop does appear to have an extra band of stitching at the bottom, though there is no signs of any damage on the other 2 bands.
