Description
6/3/25 - This is a very nice example of a rare Mauser Luger issued to the Kriegsmarine in 1940. The gun is all matching and has a "N 4960" Navy property marking on the back strap. This variation is rare, as only about 6,000 were ever produced. This particular gun comes as a rig with an excellent and rare 1939-dated tan leather holster, one period-correct but mismatched Navy marked magazine, and a spare Navy-marked magazine that has been re-numbered. The holster shows "N-6811" Navy property mark ink stamps throughout, and the tip of the closure strap is torn. The gun itself has retained somewhere between 85-90% of its original finish. There is thinning on the grip straps, general high edge wear, muzzle wear, and some tiny dots of discoloration on the side plate. Fitted with matching-numbered wood grips. Shiny bore with strong rifling.
