SOLD - 1940 Nazi Mauser Luger P.08 Rig

9/9/20 - This is a Mauser Luger rig issued to the Nazi military in 1940. The chamber is dated 1940 and the toggle is marked with the "42" Mauser factory code. The right side of the slide has the proper "Eagle 655" Nazi military acceptance proofs. The rig comes with a nice, waffenamt, 1939-dated luger holster and an "Eagle 63" luger tool. This gun has retained roughly 80% of its original bluing. The most noticeable wear is pitting on the right side of the barrel, frame, and slide. There is muzzle wear, wear on the side plate, and wear along the high edges of the frame. There are areas of wear at the base of the straps, a few light scratches on the front strap, and pitting on the stock lug. There is also a spot of wear on the underside of the trigger guard. The bore has decent rifling, but there is minor pin-pricking throughout. Excellent, period-correct grips that are "Eagle 655"-proofed. It comes with chipped wood-bottom magazine. With this magazine in the gun, the slide does not stay back when racked. We tried this with a different magazine and it works perfectly. So the problem is with the magazine only. Otherwise, it functions well.
