Description
7/20/26 - This is an original 1940 dated Luger holster. The upper reverse is faintly maker marked “Frost & Jahnel,” with a Waffenamt acceptance stamped directly below. The dark brown leather remains firm and structurally sound, but it shows extensive age-related wrinkling and surface cracking throughout the exterior. The cracking is most pronounced across the front body and flap, with lighter crazing and wear on the reverse. The closure strap appears to be a possible period replacement, though the work is well executed and not immediately obvious; it remains complete and functional. The remaining stitching is largely original and in very good condition. The interior is generally well preserved, showing several contact-wear patches from pistol insertion, a loose felt section, and a handwritten name and service number on the underside of the flap. The maker and acceptance markings are faded but still visible.
