9/12/17 - This is an original 1941 dated P.38 holster. These early hardshell holsters are uncommon as only Walther was making P.38s at the time. The back of the holster is maker stamped and dated with a waffen eagle WaA86 and P.38 stamp. These stamps are all original and crisp. The stitching is all tight and original with no missing stitches or stitching issues. The leather has nice shape and is completely in tact, but there is some surface wrinkling on the front leather. The closure strap has some cracking, but not very deep. The interior leather is clean. The holster looks brown but this is due to the black dye wearing away over time. Guaranteed original.
