Description
1/21/26 - This is a nice example of a "bnz 41" Code K98 rifle manufactured by Steyr in 1941 and issued to the Nazi military. All numbered parts are matching with the proper "Eagle 77" and "Waffen 623" military acceptance proofs. The stock is also matching-numbered on the underside of the butt of the frame and has an army "Eagle H" stamp on the right side of the butt stock. The metal parts have retained roughly 85% of their original finish. The majority of the actual finish loss is on the floor plate / trigger assembly and on the barrel bands. There is also general high edge and muzzle wear. Some light brown patina here and there. Really nice plum-colored finish on the extractor. Very nice wood furniture with minimal wear. Comes with a period-correct cleaning rod. The bore has great rifling, but there is some pin-pricking in the grooves.
