Description
8/11/26 - This is a German Luger holster produced in 1942 by Friedrich Offermann u. Söhne, Lederwarenfabrik in Bensberg, Germany for the German Military. The rear of the holster is marked "dkk 1942", and has a E/ WaA193 stamp. There is also a runic "H" and a single ss rune stamped to the left of the maker mark. These two markings are almost certainly not original. All of the markings are crisp except for about half of the Waffenamt, which is faded and smoothed. The black leather is in excellent shape on the back of the holster and on the flap. There are wrinkles and cracking over the front of the holster, especially by the toe, where there is also some scuffing. The closure strap has cracking but remains supple. The luger tool flap is a bit cracked but also remains supple. The stitching is intact throughout the holster. It is quite possible this holster was originally issued with a "Black Widow" luger.
