SOLD -1942 Mauser Luger - BYF 42

Description

1/28/26 - This is a very nice late-production example of a Mauser Luger issued to the German military in 1942. The pistol is all matching, including the grips and the small parts, and it has the proper "Eagle 135" military proof stamps. It has retained about 96% of its original bluing. Most of the wear is on the left side of the pistol, with scattered dots of mild freckling on the side plate, left side rail, and along the left side of the barrel. A couple additional spots of finish loss are visible on the left side of the barrel. Some light surface scraping along the right side rail, and a bit of mild wear around the muzzle, as well as on some of the high edges. The finish on the right profile, top of the pistol, and both grip straps is excellent, with just a few handling marks here and there. Minty bore, with very few signs of use. Comes with the well fitting, matching numbered set of wood grips, which show sharp checkering and no major signs of damage. However, the right panel shows some minor indenting/darkening of the wood in two areas at the top and one at the bottom, as well as minor handling marks. A post-factory coating applied to the grips gives them a slightly glossy appearance. Includes one original "black widow" plastic bottom FXO magazine in excellent condition.
