7/31/25 - This is a very nice example of a Springfield M1 Garand issued to the US military in 1942. The serial number on the receiver dates to November of 1942. The barrel is marked Springfield and dated 1947. There is a Springfield cartouche on the left side of the butt stock, and the "P" proof around the wrist is double-stamped. The finish on the metal parts rates about 90-93%. The majority of the wear is around the muzzle. The wood furniture has no major damage, but shows noticeable bruising and scratches throughout. Rack number painted in white on the right side of the butt stock. Minty bore. Throat gauge: 1. Muzzle gauge: 1.
