5/1/26 - This is a very nice example of a Colt Model 1911A1 from 1942, refurbished and likely sold to the public through the CMP Program. The frame was made by Colt in 1942 and has the proper "WB" inspection initials. The slide is a Colt replacement. The barrel is also a more modern replacement. There is a "LEAD" inscription on the right side of the frame, most often seen on CMP guns. The gun has been completely arsenal-refurbished. There is just minor high edge / muzzle wear some very light surface scuffs here and there. Fitted with period-correct reddish grips (yellow paint on the right side). Comes with a WW2-era "R" marked magazine. Excellent bore with strong rifling.
