Description

7/22/25 - This is a nice example of a Colt Model 1911A1 issued to the US military in 1943. It has a numbered and matching slide and a proper Colt .45 Auto barrel with a large "G" under the lug. Unfortunately, the "United States Property" marking on the right side of the frame has been ground off. While the gun doesn't show a ton of actual finish loss, there is pin-pricking and surface oxidation along the left side of the slide. Fitted with period-correct reddish plastic grips and comes with a period-correct "L" marked magazine. The bore shows pretty good rifling, but there is minor pitting in the grooves.
