11/21/25 - This is a Colt Model 1911A1 issued to the US military in 1943. It is "United States Property" marked, has the proper "GHD" inspection initials, and has a military cross-canon cartouche. "HS" marked High Standard barrel that has been parkerized. The slide is numbered but mismatched. It comes as a rig with a period-correct "L" marked magazine and a nice Boyt leather shoulder holster with shoulder strap. The finish on the gun rates somewhere between 85-90% with general high edge wear, muzzle wear, some light spotty wear along the top of the slide, and one small spot of wear on the front strap. Fitted with period-correct reddish-brown plastic grips. Minty bore.
