Description
7/1/26 - This is a Mauser P.38 issued to the Nazi military in 1944. It is all matching with the proper "Waffen 135" military acceptance proofs. When it left the factory, it would have had an obvious Dual Tone finish with a blued barrel and a phosphate finish on the slide and frame. As you can see from the photos, the finish on this one is almost entirely worn, but the original phosphate is still visible on the sides of the frame and in the crevices. Areas of spotty oxidation and pin-pricking here and there. Fitted with correct black plastic Mauser grips. Comes with one magazine that has virtually no finish and visible grinding marks throughout. The bore has pretty good rifling, but there is noticeable frosting throughout. De-cocker is functional. There is a tiny crack in the metal on the top plate - does not affect functionality.
