Description
1/15/26 - This is a nice example of a "CE 44" Code JP Sauer K98 rifle issued to the Nazi military in 1944. All numbered parts are matching with the proper German Army test proofs and "Eagle 280" military acceptance proofs. There is no external numbering on the stock, and it has a clear "Eagle H" Army test proof on the right side of the butt stock. The metal parts have retained roughly 65-70% of their original finish. The majority of the finish loss is on and around the receiver and floor plate. Some minor patina and discoloration toward the front end of the barrel and on the front barrel band. Very nice wood furniture with only minor signs of handling wear - no major damage. Comes with a period-correct leather sling and cleaning rod. Excellent bore with strong rifling.
