05/01/26 - For sale is a Springfield M1 Garand made in 1944. The rifle is in great shape with nice lighter parkerized finish with little wear. The stock is clean withou tnay cracks or breaks. The surface has been sanded and treated. The SA/GAW stamp is visible but its legitimacy is hard to determine due to it being double-stamped. The font appears to be correct, but the double stamping makes it difficult. The bore is bright with good rifling. The muzzle erosion rating is 2 and throat erosion is 1. The barrel is marked SA 6-44. The rifle is nearly parts correct but some minor discrepancies. The clip latch is the wrong variation and the hammer is a later drawing #.
