Description

11/10/23 - This is a nice example of an original K98 rifle that was manufactured at the Waffen-Werke Brunn factory and issued to the German military in 1944. It's all matching and original except for the handguard, which is numbered to a different rifle. Matching numbered parts include the stock (channel), rear sight assembly, bands, bolt assembly, floorplate, barrel and receiver. Original bluing throughout with minor wear in most areas but no rust, and minor freckling on the side of the barrel. Excellent bore. Comes with a cleaning rod and leather sling. Stock shows standard handling wear but no cracks or major defects. It is marked 'dot' on the underside and has a Heer Army proof, as well.
