8/20/25 - For sale is a Springfield M1 Garand made in 1952. The rifle has a nice parkerized finish with light edge wear. The stock is in great shape with minor dents. The left side is stamped SA/JLG for the inspector. The bore is bright with strong rifling. The muzzle erosion and throat erosion rate a 2. The barrel is made by Marlin and stamped with 6535448-Marlin and a big M. Springfield was having trouble getting barrels produced in 1951 and Marlin received a contract for 50,000 barrels. The rifle comes with a CMP COA. Included also is a GCA Journal talking about the Marlin Barrels.
