Description

4/5/22 - This is a very nice example of a Spreewerk P.38 issued to the Nazi military in May of 1943. It is all matching and has the proper "Eagle 88" Nazi military acceptance proofs throughout. There is an "asterisk" marking on the barrel, indicating it failed initial inspection and was sent back to the factory for repair. It has retained about 92% of its bluing. Areas of thinning and tiny dots of oxidation on the front strap and along the barrel. Minor wear around the high edges of the slide. An area of minor pitting on the right side of the slide. Comes with excellent reddish grips and a period-correct Walther-marked magazine. De-cocker is functional.
