Description

3/24/22 - This pistol has an interesting history. It was initially issued to the Nazi military in 1938. It has the proper "Eagle 63" military proofs. It was then likely reworked by the East German police after WW2. These are often known as "VoPo" Lugers. It is mismatched, and many of the parts have been re-numbered to match frame. This was likely done at the police arsenal. Also at the police arsenal, the gun was refinished, given a set of post war grips, and a matching post-war magazine. There is an import mark on the barrel. It has retained virtually all of its bluing, but there is a series of tiny dings on the left side of the slide and some pitting under the bluing on the left side of the frame. The finish on the straps has dulled, and there are a few tiny handling marks on the front strap. Minty bore.
