Description
12/3/25- For sale is a 1971 dated Wild Heerbrugg stereoscopic rangefinder. By aligning the images from two separate lenses separated by a known distance, the rangefinder uses trigonometry to evaluate the angle between the lenses and the resulting distance to the object in focus. This pattern of rangefinder has been used for decades, with even these models from the 70s relatively unchanged from other WW2 models. This model was made by the Swiss brand Wild Heerbrugg and was issued to the Swiss Army. All lenses and adjustment knobs are functional and intact. There is light wear and some patina on all pieces but no serious damage. There is an identification plate on the right side of the rangefinder that lists the date as 1971 and gives the unit serial number as 2164. The tripod, calibration target, and mounting piece are all also marked 2164, indicating an original matched set. Set includes rangefinder, tripod, calibration target, mounting bracket, spare parts kit, and carrying tube. Overall excellent condition.
