Description
4/19/22 - This is a very nice example of a M1911A1 made by Colt for the Argentine Government in 1927-28. This is an "Ejercito" variation, characterized by the Colt slide legend on the left side of the slide and "Ejercito Argentino Colt Cal. 45 Mod. 1927" on the right side of the slide. It is serialized on the top of the slide and on the frame under the main spring housing. These serial numbers are mismatched. The barrel is un-numbered. Tiny import mark on the right side of the frame. It has retained somewhere between 85-90% of its finish. Most of the wear is on the front strap, but there is also wear around the high edges of the slide, around the muzzle, and on the underside of the trigger. Some light scratches on the left side of the gun from the takedown lever. Some tiny dings on the right side of the frame on the opposite side of the takedown lever. Comes with slightly worn black plastic grips and one reproduction magazine. The bore is very nice with great rifling.Specifications
