1980 High Standard "The Victor" - .22LR

9/28/26 - This is a 1980 High Standard Victor in .22 Long Rifle. High Standard had been making target pistols since before WWII, but in 1971 they introduced the Victor, which allowed sights on a rib so the slide could run without moving the picture. This example is mounted with an Ultradot red dot bullseye sight, which works perfectly. All matching, with the serial number stamped on the right side of the frame and top of the slide beneath the mounting plate. The pistol has retained roughly 80% of its original finish. Most of the finish is gone around the muzzle. The barrel flats show high edge wear, surface scratches, areas of thinning, and spots of oxidation (more pronounced on the left side). The slide has some milder nicks and scuffs along the flats, and the top rear is thinned where a prior mount sat. There are light scratches around the slide serrations.The backstrap is also thinning a bit, with reddish oxidation in the stippling (this would likely come off with a proper cleaning). The checkered walnut grips show handling marks and smoothing, but no chips, cracks, or repairs. The bore is excellent, bright, with strong rifling and only minor frost in the grooves. The magazine and slide release are both fully functional, and the trigger is excellent. Includes one factory magazine in excellent condition.
