Description
5/4/22 - This is a very nice example of an Eddystone Model 1917 rifle that was originally issued to the US military in 1918. The receiver dates to about July of 1918 - the barrel is Eddystone marked, has a flaming bomb proof, and is dated December of 1918. Replaced Remington bolt. There are several arsenal markings on the left side of the stock, indicating this gun was reworked at an arsenal for re-issue during WW2. The gun has retained nearly all of its parkerized finish with some spotty discoloration throughout - typical of these finishes. The stock is very nice with dings and scratches throughout. Comes with a WW2-era green canvas sling. The bore has strong rifling with some minor pin-pricking in the grooves.Specifications
