Description

6/7/22 - This is an excellent example of a Spreewerk P.38 issued to the Nazi military in January of 1943. The gun is all matching and has the proper "Eagle 88" military acceptance proofs throughout. There is an "asterisk" marking on the barrel, indicating it failed initial inspection and was sent back to the factory for repair. The entire gun has a dark finish, so we believe it has been "dipped". There is very little finish loss - just some tiny scratches along the right side of the slide and a couple of scratches under the finish on the left side. Comes with nice reddish bakelite grips and a period-correct Mauser magazine. The bore has good rifling, but there is pitting throughout. De-cocker is functional.
