Description

6/9/22 - This is a nice example of an AC 43 Walther P.38 issued to the Nazi military in 1943. It is all matching and has the proper "Eagle 359" military acceptance proofs throughout. There is an asterisk marking on the barrel, indicating it failed initial inspection and was sent back to the factory for repair. It has retained roughly 80% of its original finish. The majority of the finish loss is on the front strap and underside of the tang, where there is almost no finish left. Minor wear on the high edges of the slide and around the muzzle. Some light scratches on the right side of the slide. The frame has a nice plumb color to it. Comes with nice reddish bakelite grips and a rare "U" marked magazine that is unfinished. Minty bore. De-cocker is functional.
