SOLD - Excellent Spreewerk P.38 (9029d - 20856)

Description

6/16/22 - This is an excellent example of a Spreewerk P.38 issued to the Nazi military in July of 1943. It is all matching and has the proper "Eagle 88" military acceptance proofs throughout. There is an asterisk marking on the right side of the slide as well, indicating it failed initial inspection and was sent back to the factory for repair. It has retained about 96% of its original finish. Most of the finish loss is on the front strap, but there is also very minor wear at the front edges of the slide and around the muzzle. Some light scratches along both sides of the slide, and a noticeable casting flaw on the right side. Comes with excellent reddish grips and an "Eagle 88" proofed magazine. Shiny bore with strong rifling and some light frosting here and there. De-cocker is functional. That slide does not lock back automatically with this magazine.
