SOLD - 1937 Mauser Luger - Navy Marking

7/22/22 - This is a nice example of a Mauser Luger issued to the Navy military in 1937. It is all matching (except for the hold-open) and has the proper "Eagle 63" military acceptance proofs. It also has an "N 2381" Navy property marking on the back strap, but we do not believe this marking is original. It has retained roughly 75% of its bluing. Most of the finish loss is on both grip straps, where there is noticeable thinning, light brown patina, and spotty oxidation. Some minor thinning and oxidation along the barrel as well. Minor wear around the muzzle, side plate, and side rails. A couple of scratches on the left side of the frame. Comes with period-correct grips - the left panel is numbered and matching, the right panel is un-numbered. Also comes with a mismatched "Eagle 63" proofed magazine. The bore has good rifling, but there is minor pin-pricking throughout.
