Description

8/2/22 - This is a nice example of a Colt Model 1911 issued to the US military in 1917. It is "United States Property" marked and has the proper military inspection stamp. It also has a correct "H P" Colt barrel. It has retained roughly 80% of its original bluing. Most of the finish loss is on the back strap, but there is also wear around the muzzle, and minor spotty wear along the slide, concentrated mostly around the high edges. Heavy oxidation on the front strap. Tiny dots of oxidation here and there. There are series of tiny dings on the slide serrations on both sides of the slide. Comes with nice period-correct wood grips and a proper two-tone magazine. The bore has decent rifling with pin-pricking throughout.
