8/16/22 - This is an original High Standard Model H-D pistol that was issued to the U.S. Military in 1943. A total of ~32,000 Model H-D pistols were procured by the military from 1943-45. This one is marked PROPERTY OF U.S. on the right side of the frame, and has ordnance cannons marking as well. The original, high-polish blue rates at about 92% with scratchy wear along the barrel and some spotty wear on both grip straps. Minor pin-pricking on the front strap. The screw on the left side of the frame is a little buggered-up. Comes with nice period-correct bakelite grips (a couple of small blemishes on the bottom) and one proper magazine. Minty bore.
