Description
9/16/22 - This is a minty example of a BYF 41 Mauser Luger issued to the Nazi military in 1941. It is all matching and has the proper "Eagle 655" military acceptance proofs. It also comes equipped with a set of period-original black widow grips. This particular gun comes as a rig with an excellent 1941-dated holster, "Eagle 655" tool, a period-correct black widow magazine, and one original matching-numbered magazine! What makes this rig special is what is very lightly scratched into the back of the holster. It has the GI's name "E. L. Piper Jr", "Germany June 1945", and his GI number. From the photos, you'll notice that he writes his J's backwards. We were able to find the vet's information and photo online. We do a whole video featuring this exact gun and story on our Youtube channel. Link below! The gun itself is in beautiful condition. It has retained about 97-98% of its original finish with just very minor wear around the muzzle, side plate, very front edges of the side rails, and at the base of the front strap. The bore is minty.
